I was originally planning to do a VLOG on what make up I’ve been using as of late, but my computer has other ideas. It’s just turned a year old, but the sound has died and my graphics card is on the fritz. So, you get photos instead!
I love make up, though I don’t wear it often. If anything I tend to wear mascara and that’s it, but as I packed my make up bag for my trip into the city, I thought i’d go through what I took with me.
FACE – Models Prefer liquid foundation in Nude (I think!). Nivea Moisturiser. Napoleon Perdis ‘Auto Pilot‘ Primer Sample from Bellabox. Lush ‘Breath of fresh air’ toner & Covergirl pressed powder in ‘Clean’.
I’d been looking into a new primer as my old one was running out and I wasn’t 100% happy with it, so I was super excited when the NP Primer came in my first Bellabox. I’m really happy with it and it goes a long way. I’ll be saving my dollars to buy this in full soon.
EYE SHADOW – Lime Crime in Mirror Mirror. Savvy by DB in Silver. BFTE in Diamonds & Blue Bird. Sugarpill in Poison Plum.
BROWS & LASHES - Benefit ‘Brows a go-go’ kit. Bourjois Paris Mascara. Essence 2 in 1 Mascara.
I used to use a brow pencil, but always thought it made me look too harsh, so when I heard about Benefits kit I decided to give it a go and haven’t looked back. When I have darker hair, my eyebrows always tend to look washed out and with wearing glasses, I think it’s great to have a good polished brow. This works so well, the powder makes it all look really natural and you can build it up to however dark you want it.
My Bourjois Mascara is awesome, but running out. I got it on super sale at BrandsExclusive, needless to say, I can’t really afford to buy it full price, so I decided to pick up the Essence 2 in 1 Mascara. I find this mascara is more aimed at teens, but it was around $8. Can I just say WOW! I wasn’t expecting too much for the price, but it’s pretty awesome!
LINER – Elf eyelid Primer. Beauty Style liquid eyeliner in ‘Gothic’. Beauty Style eyeliner in ‘Innocence’ & ‘Grey Mile’.
Please tell me i’m not the only one who always loses the plastic caps! I use white liner on my lower water line to make my eyes appear more ‘open’. I find I like grey liner on my lower lashes more then black.
LIPS – OCC Lip Tar in ‘Pageant’ from Bellabox. Lime Crime in ‘Centrifuschia’ & Tru Shine in ‘Petal Shine’.
I do have a fair variety of eyeshadows. I have this habit of buying red eyeshadow but I NEVER wear it. I just love it. My 3 favourite eye shadow brands are Sugarpill, Lime Crime and BFTE. All the small round containers are sample sized BFTE. Seeing I don’t wear make up too often, these are perfect for me and only $2! I have another Sugarpill colour in the mail that I picked up in the Black Friday sales.
I love lipstick. I actually didn’t include my favourite red in this one, as it’s actually in my handbag, whoops! My favourite lipstick brands are Lime Crime, Manic Panic, Barry M & Stargazer.
Oh, and I got addicted to Burts Bees in Liptember. LOVE!
Next up, I’m wanting to try EVERYTHING Benefit has to offer, and after seeing Danimezza in it, I want to try Invisible Zink Foundation. I’m waiting for my Morgan Annie Lip Scrub to arrive after reading about it on Styling You. And of course I’m really loving my monthly Bella Box.
