OOTD: Metallic crinkles

November 15, 2012

It’s hard to take pictures of metallic items, it seems. These photos don’t do this top justice, in real life, it’s a champagne gold shimmery perfection. I fell in love with it after seeing THIS picture in the recent Virtu catalogue, and even though i’m not a gold wearer, it the kind of top that seems to change colours depending on what you wear.

Living out of a bag isn’t easy, that is why my skirt is creased. Also, I don’t iron. Ever. I am not an iron-er  This skirt is usually fine, it doesn’t really crinkle, except that it was rolled up and shoved under a mound of other clothes. However, it’s one of the few skirts I have that currently fit me as I’ve lost a little weight. Every one just has to deal with the crinkles.

  • Top – c/o Virtu – Size M
  • Skirt – c/o 17 Sundays
  • Jacket – City Chic
  • Belt – Katies
  • No make up!

This summer i’m trying to learn to love my arms. My upper arms are one of my ‘weak spots’, the one area that I am not happy with that I like to hide. I’m trying to love myself 100% and that means my arms too.

So tell me, do you iron?

  • Nessbow

I never used to iron, but I’ve started doing it this year. It’s actually become one of my favourite chores because I can do it in front of the telly!

  • Wookie Wifey

I do not iron. Ever, ever, ever. If something just HAS to have some wrinkles out, I’ll hang it in the bathroom while I shower or take a hot bubble bath and let the steam do all the work.

Grats on the weight loss. It is amazing how happy you are to have wrinkled clothes if they are a few sizes smaller. 🙂 Plus, weight loss = more shopping because if nothing fits it is frowned upon to run around nakey!

wow you look soo sooo good in this outfit! i’m a fan!

  • Don’t iron, don’t cook!

  • I’ve been feeling a bit bleugh about my weight/body recently so had to read back my post about body confidence (http://pinkhairedprincess.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/you-are-what-you-are-beautiful.html) to knock some sense into myself. I seem to go through periods when I’m ok with everything then times when it’s harder, so keeping posting daily outfits can be tough when you’re not feeling happy with yourself.

  • It can be hard to find motivation to dress up nice when you feel icky, I’m pretty good with body confidence, but my arms are still an area I’m learning to love.

  • Ohhh, who does the cooking!? It’s nice not to have to cook, but once my kitchen is finished i’ll be back to cooking for myself most of the time.

  • Thank you!

  • I do the same with the shower/bath. My mum actually bought a steamer recently, so I think if I ever need to iron something I’ll borrow that.

  • Ahaha, yes, you can, I find my head thinks too much when I iron, which doesn’t do very good.
