OOTD – The Hobbit (I can wear Jeans & a Tee!)

So, you’ve probably realised by now I’m not a jeans & tee kind of gal. I wish I could pull off the look as effortlessly as some people do, but me and pants, well, we don’t have the best relationship. That doesn’t mean I don’t try to rock the look every now and then. December 26th was the day The Hobbit was released in Australian cinemas (don’t even get me started on that!) and of course, being the huge Tolkien nerd I am, I had to go and see it on the day. I also decided to dust off one of my Lord of the Rings tees I have.

It was boxing day though,  so I was tired and looking a little drained, sorry about that, but I felt I had to document the fact that I at least tried to wear jeans and a tee! This Legolas Tee is a fave of mine from back in the day, I even paid the ridiculous Torrid shipping for it & while Legolas wasn’t in this movie (he will be in the next!), his Dad was! Now I want a Thranduil shirt!!

Please excuse my ridiculous face in that last picture, turns out I have the worst duck faced smirk ever! I was just super happy and excited to have two cups with hot dwarves on them!

    Yes, and I’m quite disturbed by how quickly I have developed an obsession with Aidan Turner and Richard Armitage. I feel like I’m 14 again with my Orli and Dom obessions I used to have.

    This reminded me I have a LOTR tee from Torrid somewhere, I will have to hunt it out. I love this outfit and it jsut perfect for a lazy day at the cinema

    I really enjoyed it! I tried really hard not to think about what I’d wanted from the movie beforehand, tried to go into it open minded. I was a little worried it might drag or too much might be added, seeing as it’s one book split into three long movies, but I really liked it!

    Pants! Guh, what is it with them!? I’ve been trying to wear them more often in winter, cause well, they are warmer, but they just aren’t me.

    Oh, I’ve had a crush on Richard Armitage for around, 2 or 3 years now! After watching North & South I was all “mmm, I’ll have some of that”. I was happy, but a little mopey that he was cast, cause I realised the whole world will now see what a handsome specimen of man he is :P Aiden Turner, I like him, but I dunno, I guess I’m not as crazy as some people are, oldly enough, I’d probably choose Dean O’Gorman over Aiden. That being said, I wouldn’t say no to being in a Fili and Kili sandwich :P

    ikr! My grandma of all people got me turned onto Richard, no idea what she saw him in. But she loves him. lol Dean is gorgeous as well! Great photographer to boot

    LOVE LOVE LOVE your shirt. I watched the Lord of the rings trilogy for the first time ever this week. At first I thought it was mega lam… then… BAM!!!!!!! Obsessed. I haven’t stopped talking about it.
