OOTD – Bright Pink!

You’ll have to excuse me from looking, well, rather craptastic today. I came home after a few hours shopping and decided to snap a couple of pictures, wanting to show off my jumper. I however, am in a world of pain & I often thinks that comes through in the pictures. But hey, I’m not a model and I don’t look good all the time.

So this is the outfit I wore today, my Mum & I went shopping with my Brother to pick up some new clothes for my neice and nephew. Guh, cute overload! I really wish they’d make some of the little girls clothes into plus size fashion, SERIOUSLY! Frodo also decided to make an appearance in the photos! (Note – How amazingly bright is my nail polish!)

Have I mentioned how much i’m in LOVE with these shoes, best impulse emotional spending buy EVER! And I really love the necklace, I wear it often. It reads “Never live in the past but always learn from it

Frodo wears his own clothes. Fur, aged nearly 10 years & black collar from unknown store.

OH! And I have a few things up for sale on ebay HERE!

Henry

One thing I’m glad about, is that Adam (my ex) and I still get along. I’ll often get an email with a photo of how my babies are doing, and while it’s so hard to be away from them, I know they are in a loving home. Adam sent me the above picture the other day and it just made me go ‘awww’. For someone who has never had a cat before, I don’t know how I lived without one.

I then remembered a set of photos I took of Henry when I went and visited in February. I’d noted I wanted to photoshop them! BAM! Sorry its dodgy, that was a 5 minutes job. It’s actually still really hard to look at photos of him too long. I’m a sap, really.

Because I used flash his different eye colours came up different, but it amused me. He looks rather unimpressed. I miss his purr. Adam said he was a bit of a terror after I left, acting out a little, but he’s settled back into a routine. Him and Ginny are getting along a lot better, as long as Henry plays submissive.

He’s such a teeny kitty compared to other cats i’ve been around, and he’s over a year old now.

Just so I don’t get into trouble for favouritism (which I certainly do have), here are a couple of pictures of Piggy I was sent. I was musing the other day on how many names Ginny has and what she comes to. Virginia. Virginia Pig. Ginny. Ginny Pig. Piggy. Pig Pig.

And this little man beast, the love of my life, Mr Frodo went back to the vet today for the results of his blood tests and he’s in perfect health! Yay! He’s been loving sleeping on his bed on the lounge as of late, and carrying a toy his Auntie gave him around the whole house.

Just a few Quick Pics

I’m an emotional baker. When i’m upset, I tend to bake. When my Grandmother was alive, she used to love it, she had a real sweet tooth. I had to stop myself at one batch of cupcakes today. I’m home alone and I won’t be able to eat all these by myself. I decided against icing too. I was originally going to make pink vanilla icing, but I’ve never been a big fan of icing.

My parents dog Emily has been sick, a fair few vet visits, needles, x-rays. She’s doing a lot better now. | Frodo has been sooky at times, he decided the other day he had to lay across my neck, he used to do that when he was a puppy. He turns 10 this year! | He has been enjoying sleeping on my lounge a lot lately though, especially now that it’s cleared off of all my crap. | Fish face! | I’ve been playing Draw Something, I’ve realised I’m a pretty crappy drawer  & I need to get a stylus for my iPad | I’ve been doing a fair amount of crying the past few days. I have this weird love of trying to photograph tears. There is just something about a person crying.

Cheer up emo Fro. Yeah, I hate the floor of my room. I scrubbed it the other day, it was not a joyous occasion.

I’ve been spending a lot of time at Doctor surgeries / Medical Imaging places. My shoes got a lot of comments this day when i was in to have my 2nd CT scan (& 3rd Xray!)

I’ve also been missing Henry & Ginny like crazy. I just get so overwhelmed with how much I miss them sometimes that I just have to curl up and cry. Leaving them, leaving Henry, was one of the hardest things i’ve ever had to do. I miss them so much. So so so so much.

Zoo Week – Meerkats & Giraffes!

In the description for the Hippo encounter, it says you get to meet some other animals. I honestly didn’t pay it much mind because I was just so super excited to meet the hippos, but I was very happy to find out we’d get to feed the meerkats and giraffes!

We got to feed the male group that is situated in front of the giraffe exhibit. It was a family group of 10, I believe it was the father and his sons.

It was an odd experience reaching into a plastic chinese container and grabbing a handful of live worms and scattering them in to the enclosure.

Then we made our way to the giraffes. I’ve fed a giraffe before, but it was fun to do again!

My back wasn’t too happy about doing it, so I ended up giving part of my branch to Adam. Those giraffes have some strength! I was standing feet apart, holding the branch with both hands and it was quite a tug once they wrapped their tongue around the branch to rip off the leaves!

That wraps up Zoo week here! I had such a great time and would really recommend you visit Adelaide Zoo if you are ever in South Australia. I’d also rec you visit Monarto, which is the worlds largest open range zoo. Oh, and do a ‘behinds the scene’ tour, it’s worth it!!
