Toxic Injection Jewelry Review

After featuring a pair of shoes by Toxic Injection in THIS Weekly Wishlist post, I was contacted by owner Cecer in regards to reviewing some of her jewelry. As a lover of all things bright & sparkily, I jumped at the chance & next thing I knew a randomly chosen box of goodies were on their way from Denmark to Australia. Shipping was actually a lot faster then I expected, the box arrived on my doorstep in under two weeks. (I didn’t keep exact date, sorry!)

The above necklace is one of the favourite things I was sent. The thing I love about what I recieved, is that it can be catered to plus sizes. The necklaces & bracelets all have extenders which made the fit perfect. I often have trouble finding pretty bracelets that will fit properly. The rings are the type that can be opened slightly to get the perfect fit.

I don’t have a good picture of me wearing the necklace, but I have these two instagram pics of it. I LOVE the colour of it!

This beautiful bracelet which is packed super full with charms is my other favourite, oh I’ve worn this a few times! It also helps that these are my two favourite colours! I’ve received a fair amount of compliments on it whilst out actually!

Cecer, who runs Toxic Injection is certainly highly crafty. You can find a variety of amazing DIY items on her etsy store, from brooches to bracelets & even sunglasses & shoes! It was actually her shoes that first drew me to her store.

I think the sushi necklace is adorable, so much so, I used it in my latest giveaway. It’s now on it’s way to it’s new home with Leah in the UK!

All in all, I was rather pleased with the jewelry. I loved the bright colours and the variety in sizing. Shipping was super fast, Cecer was nice & prompt in responding to emails & I think the pricing is great considering the time put into the items.

Below are a few of my fave items that are currently available on Toxic Injection!

OOTD: Lady in red!

I’ve really not been in the mood for OOTD posts, if you hadn’t noticed. Since getting out of the hospital I’ve been sleeping heaps and my outfits have been nothing spectacular. However when this beauty turned up in the mail yesterday, I couldn’t wait to show it off!

This SWAK dress was sent to me by Curvy is Beautiful (I’ll be talking about them in an upcoming post!) and I’m all sorts of in love. This is the Anastasia Wrap Dress and I had lots of fun playing around with the 82380723 different ways you can wear it. Okay, slight exaggeration, but there is many different styles this dress converts to. The material is really soft, so soft I kind of don’t want to take it off, ever. I’m excited about wearing as a skirt this summer, but thought i’d show it off first as a dress.

I was waiting for my Dad to start singing ‘Lady in Red’ when he saw me in it, I was slightly disappointed when he didn’t, instead he told me ‘You look nice’. Yep, my Dad loves the colour red. I didn’t want to go overboard, so I left everything else with this outfit simple and minimal. Oh, and my hair, I had it permed and coloured last week, it uh, didn’t work out how it was supposed to.

Callooh & Callay!!

I’ve been reading Lillian’s blog Funny Face’s Place for months now, and recently she announced the opening of her store Callooh & Callay. I of course, clicked on the link to have a sticky beak only to be greated with A LABYRINTH INSPIRED NECKLACE! Needless to say, that baby went into the shopping cart quick smart, and with the opening coupon code (no longer available) it was soon on it’s way to me.

I placed the order on the 20th and it arrived on the 5th, which means it took 8 working days from the UK to Australia. I also love the presentation. I love it when a company takes the extra time to merge all their branding together. Callooh & Callay have a very fun circus like style. It arrived in a padded bag, with a invoice (including a cute little handwritten note!), a yummy lollipop, and a red & white striped bag with a C&C sticker.

Inside, was a black box, tied with gold ribbon. Then inside that, was a business card and the necklace sleeping on a plush fluffy material.

I really love the business card. If i’m being honest, I can be a bit of a design snob, so, me saying I really LOVE something, well, that doesn’t happen every day when it comes to graphic design. The dancing dogs are just adorabubble!

And the product itself (It’s probably a little pathetic I was nearly as excited about all the packaging, oh well, I do try to find pleasure in the simple things!). This combines a few things I love. Owls, Jewelry & Labyrinth. I feel this baby is going to be getting a lot of wear!

I think I may need to invest in a brooch or two in the future too! Make sure you check out Callooh and Callay!

(Just a note, no, this was not a sponsored post, I bought everything and wasn’t asked to review, I just wanted to share the love!)

Lovedrobe

UK company Lovedrobe kindly sent me out another 2 tunics to review. As I was highly impressed with the previous garment they sent me (Review Here), I jumped at the chance to trial some of the new line.

One of the things I really love about Lovedrobes tunics, is that I can pull it off as a tunic or a dress. I’m about 5″5 and it just hits at the perfect length for a mini dress.

The material of this dress is slinky, but with the ruffle like texture, gives a really lovely effect. It’s thicker then I imagined, but not hot. When I first picked it up, the necklace feature felt rather heavy, but once it is on, you don’t even notice the weight.

As the weather is warming up in Australia, in the morning I wore it without leggings, but as I had a late afternoon coffee date with my sister & nephew, I threw on some lace leggings. It’s such an easy to wear & versatile piece.

The neck detail is fabulous, it’s plaited chain! Both my Mum & Sister complimented me on it. It also saves on having to accessories. It’s the perfect quick fix clothing item. You just have to throw it on, and wa-la, done!

The dress picture from the catalogue. Me with my sisters puppy in a clothing store.
