I fought the urge not to buy this dress for so long, but when LDC had a site wide sale, I ended up caving and snapping it up. I’m glad I did because this dress amuses me to no end. Not only does it have my #2 man crush Tom Hiddleston on it, but he’s wearing flower crowns and it has fun, cute writing scattered over it.
Of course, I had to put on, well, not exactly a flower crown, but my favourite flower headband, to match. Also, first time showing off the new hair colour and cut here on the blog. It had been over a year since I had a trim so tried out a new place at my local store and was really impressed.
This dress is a 2xl, I was a little unsure how it would fit as my other LDC dress is a 3xl and is a perfect fit (See here). I figured it is a stretchy material, so I’d give it a try. Personally, I think it looks great and I’m happy with the fit. The only noticeable difference I find in size is that this dress is a bit shorter and slightly tighter around my boobs, but not so much that it stretches or warps the images.
Look, no arm coverings! Yep, still going strong on that new year goal! Melbourne weather has been it’s normal hot and then cold yo-yo weather, but on those warm days, I’m enjoying the air of my arms! I hope that eventually I won’t get anxious at all about showing them.
I paired the dress with my magical unicorn flats. My foot is fractured again and i’m wearing my boot periodically and resting it up. It’s painful but not as bad as the last time. I need to invest in some heel grips for these shoes, I think ASOS have changed the sizing of their shoes lately as I used to fit their 8’s perfectly and now they are slightly too big. Heel grips should make them the perfect fit though.
Dress – Living Dead Clothing (size XXL) || Shoes – ASOS (& in metallic) || Belt & headband – I don’t remember
If you could have anyone’s picture of a dress, who would you choose?
Sometimes, when it’s overcast & gloomy, when you’re cold & have periods sent from hell itself, when you’d rather stay in bed, but have to go out to pick some groceries up, you just need to go for comfort. That is what this outfit is for me.
These leggings were the first thing I ever bought from Living Dead Clothing (not the Bowie dress) yet I’ve never showcased them on the blog before. Whoops! I loved the design so much that and had trouble deciding what style I should get, but went with the leggings. I’m glad I did, they’re super comfy.
This Chambray jacket is one of the only items of clothing I’ve bought myself in the past few months, and that’s only because I got it on super sale. I was originally going to layby it, but they had a sale on & it was damaged & I got it for a fraction of the price. It’s on sale now though for cheaper then I bought it!
I really need to collect more charms for my bracelet, I keep eyeing this one and this one. I’ve had my triceratops brooch for over 3 years now, and even though he’s now missing a horn, I still adore him! I’ve found he’s a great conversation starter! (Me talking with other people that is, my brooch and I don’t chat)
How cute are these shoes!? They also come in pink!!
What’s your comfy going out outfit?
When the news hit that David Bowie passed away, I cried. I didn’t really talk about it on social media, but Bowie had been a big part of my life. I was introduced to him when I was young, Labyrinth has always been my favourite movie, my high school music teacher knew I loved Bowie so much he gifted me an expensive Bowie book, and I was lucky enough to see him live in 2004. I’ve mentioned it before but David Bowie is my God.
When I saw this 24-hour release from Living Dead Clothing, with 15% of profits going to Australian Cancer Research Foundation, my only decision was to get the dress or top. As you can see, I went for the dress. I figured i’d wear it more. I think this has taken up top spot of my favourite Bowie item of clothing, up until now it was the Hoodie my grandmother bought me from the Reality tour.
Decided to play with some make up, I’ve been loving experimenting with colours again. I remember when I was in high school I’d just sit on the floor in front of my wardrobe mirrors and play with make up looks for hours.
I’m in desperate need of a hair cut. One of the side effects of the magnesium deficiency (what I was in hospital for last month) is that my hair has been falling out more then normal. Add to the fact its so long, it feels like i’m constantly being caught in spider webs, so I’m trying to figure out what I should do with it.
I didn’t want to take away from the layout of the dress, so I decided to add my Baccurelli brooch to the hem of the dress. Remember, brooches can be worn anywhere, even in your hair!
Were you a fan of David Bowie? What was your fave song?
What hair cut/ style do you think I should get?
