Outfit – Finally, grey thigh high boots!

I love shoes, LOVE them. They are one of my weakness, I have around 100 pairs and I always have more on my wishlist. One of my weaknesses are boots, but being fat and having chubby legs often means I don’t fit boots. Luckily there are companies and stores these days that do cater to wide width. I guess this is also when my smaller-fat-privilege comes in, that I can sometimes find boots to fit me in everyday stores.

When I spotted these boots on the shelves at Spendless, I didn’t think they would fit. After pulling them down, I decided to give them a try and WAHEY! They fit! Just. I should say, that they are stretched to capacity on my calves. These boots come in black, but I only had eyes for the grey. Grey is my current favourite colour in case you hadn’t picked up on that already.

I love this dress/tunic from Kmart, I often pair it with leggings, but it hits the perfect length to show off these boots. I blinged it up with my dinosaur necklace. I’m trying to wear more jewellery and accessories later. I find I pick so many things up on sale, but forget to wear them.

I’m also in this funk with my hair, I don’t know what to do with it. My roots are in desperate need of a bleach and I still like the blue, but I’m also eyeing some of the new Lime Crime shades, I just don’t know which colour I like best. Which colour do you think?

Plus Size Outfit – Drawn to grey.

I’m back home in Melbourne and need to get back into the swing of everyday life again. It was great seeing family in Sydney and staying with my parents & their doggos. It’s good to be home though.

All the clothes i’m wearing I picked up in Sydney! I did a bit of shopping & had a bit of trouble fitting everything in my suitcase. I’m so in love with grey at the moment, I seem to picking up grey coloured items all the time lately.

I had to pick up groceries today and was excited I got to wear my new jacket, it’s COLD here in Melbourne! This jacket is so soft and made from a suede like material.  I was actually surprised it fit as I don’t usually try items from Rockmans. It was on sale for $50, down from $100. I love a good sale!

This top was love at first sight, even if it’s not something I would normally be drawn too. I just adored the colour combo of the navy blue and light pink. It is a stretchy light fabric that feels like you’re wearing pyjamas. The pants/leggings are a stretchy cord and I adored them so much I bought them in a navy blue. In case you can’t tell, I’m all about comfy clothes at the moment.

I have soooo many pins and I always forget to wear them, so when my kitty vibe pin arrived I moved all my pins to a more visible location on my dresser. I thought it went well with my ‘Babe with the power’ pin and the pinks made the colours in my top stand out a bit more.

Outfit – City Chic Dolce Rose Perfection.

I find dressing for weddings a bit crazy, I overthink everything. While I know many of the ‘rules’ don’t really matter these days, I still find myself sticking to them. This past weekend my cousin got married and I had been on the hunt for the perfect dress. I decided to push my comfort zone and self-imposed wedding fashion rules & went all out in this stunning City Chic dress.

Normally, I wouldn’t wear so much black to a wedding, but paired with the red and the stunning rose embroidery, this dress just called out LOVE to me. That’s what Weddings are really about, aren’t they? Love. The dress is rather ‘sexy’ but pairing it down with a cardigan and flats made it a bit more modest. I certainly still felt like a million dollars!

I was slightly worried about how it would fit as I couldn’t get into a store to try it on, but thankfully, it fit like a dream. The dress is a size Large and thanks to the boning in the dress, I didn’t need to wear a bra. It has NO stretch. This dress would fit someone with smaller breasts, I’m a large B/ small C but I still had some room. I can’t normally pull off strapless dresses, most plus size strapless dresses cater for larger busts, so they just fall down on me. This dress does come with removable straps you can use.

The detail on the dress is stunning and I’m trying to think of ways I can wear it more often. The embroidery trend is really in fashion at the moment, but the dress itself is really timeless. I can see myself pulling it out years down the track and it still being a show stopper.

Weather in Wollongong was hot, humid and rainy, so I kept my make-up rather simple. I was going to go for a red lip, but decided to just go with a nude-pink shade.
