Cci Blazer 22lr : Great For Target Shots, Hunting & Plinking

As one of the most widely used and popular cartridges in the world, CCI Blazer 22LR rounds offer a nice low-level recoil and excellent performance for plinking, shooting down the range and when hunting for varmints like rabbits and squirrels. Whatever it is you’re looking to do, these cartridges will serve you perfectly ably.

It’s also a great cartridge for shooting newbies who want to learn the ropes of marksmanship or even if you want to do a spot of plinking in your backyard. There’s a ton of competitors out there like Sellier & Bellot, Aguila, Remington and Federal American Eagle all vying for the same .22LR customers, but CCI more than holds its own.

Highly Accurate & Ideal for Hunting

As a popular long rifle round, the CCI Blazer 22LR is more than suitable for hunting, as it offers supreme accuracy when in the hands of an experienced shooter. It’s for this reason that many who engage in competitive shooting like to use it. It’s a round that’s more than able to take down larger prey, but you will need something that packs more of a punch if you’re going for bears, elk or deer.

It’s not the best performing round out there, however, and there are some better choices available if you’re looking for an effective self-defense option, but it will more than suffice if you don’t have another choice.

    A Cost-Effective Option

One thing that can’t be denied when analyzing CCI Blazer 22LR ammo is the fact that it offers great value for money with no discernible effect on the performance it provides. You can pick up a box of these bad boys for anywhere between $18-22, so it’s not going to break the bank either.

Performance-wise, those using these rounds typically find a respectable level of accuracy over 50 yards, even when fired from a handgun like the Ruger 22. They’re also suitable for use in rifles with a similar level of accuracy and performance on offer.

    Really Reliable

Look online and do little research about these good quality rounds and you’ll invariably find that stoppages aren’t an issue, even when a few hundred rounds are fired off continuously. So, we’re talking about no failures to eject or no misfires – just good, accurate shooting.

Now, the bulk-buy nature of CCI Blazer 22LR might make you think that you’re getting a slightly inferior option, but nothing could be further from the truth of the matter, as these rounds do it all and do it all well.

In fact, when you look at the CCI Stinger 22LR rounds, you get one of the best options on the market that strikes a nice balance between muzzle velocity and bullet weight. The 32 grain Stinger offers an incredible 191 feet/pounds of muzzle energy, making it one of the best around – so don’t be fooled that CCI is an economy brand, as it’s a big company with a big reputation.

    The Overall Verdict

Whether you’re a handgun or rifle user, you’ll do well to find a better all-rounder than the 22LR round made by CCI. Regardless of what your intended purpose is, you’ll find that this cartridge delivers well in all of the important categories.

Are there rounds out that are more accurate? Sure there are. Are there any that offer more penetration? absolutely. However, it DOES do many things well and we can’t fault them for reliability or stopping power.

So long as you’re not using yours to take down a large grizzly bear single-handedly, you shouldn’t have any issues with taking animals down when hunting and while it’s not the perfect ammo for self-defense, it more than carries out the job it was designed for.
