Epic Workouts to follow to achieve a strong core

If you think achieving a six pack means engaging in a gruelling workout and being a hardcore gym fanatic, you’re wrong. The best part is that you can build your six pack even from the comfort of your home. So without going through the hassles of getting a gym membership or pushing yourself to the gym on days when you’re too tired, you can get abs just like your favourite celebs. 

I bring to you some of the best and easiest workout routines you should engage in if you want those six-packs of your dreams. 

  1. Plank: Planks are the perfect way to begin your journey towards the six pack because it requires minimal movement and can also be adapted to easier or harder, depending on how you feel. For this, you need to support your lower body on your forearms with your legs behind you. Hold this position for as long as you can while keeping your back straight. As you improve your core strength, you can hold this position for a longer period.
  2. Reverse crunch: Lie on your back with your knees bent towards your chest. You can lower your feet down slowly but keep them slightly elevated off the ground before bringing your knees back up to your chest. This exercise will strengthen your lower abdominal area.
  3. Bird dog crunch: Start with kneeling on all your fours and raise your right arm out along with your left leg raised behind you. Hold this position for a few seconds while engaging your core, and go back to the start position before you repeat the exercise with your left arm and right leg.
  4. Bicycle crunch: Sit down and bend slightly back with your knees bent and your arms resting behind your ears. Bring your right knee up and your left elbow down towards each other and repeat with the other side too to complete one rep.
  5. Glute bridge: This abs exercise is relatively easy. You have to start by lying down on your back with your hands and legs in a rested position. Bend your knees and with the help of your shoulders and arms, try lifting your back and your lower body off the ground. When you lift your hips off the ground, squeeze your glutes for maximum impact. 

These abs exercises will help you achieve your dream six pack. Just make sure that before you begin with the exercises, you get into comfortable clothes such as a tank top or a workout bra and leggings. You can do these abs exercises at your home or during your lunch break at work. You can even continue doing them when you’re on holiday.
