    What You Need To Know About Plasma Cutting Machine

    The plasma cutting is based on the thermal and mechanical action of a jet of gas heated by an electric current arc established between an electrode located in the torch and the workpiece. The plasma jet thrown against the piece penetrates the entire thickness to be cut, melting, and expelling the material.

    Advantages

    • The main advantage of this system lies in its reduced risk of deformations due to the heat compaction of the cutting area. The economy of the applicable gases is also valuable, since anyone is a priori viable, although it is true that it should not attack the electrode or the piece.
    • The use of the plasma cutter in small pieces is not recommended because the temperature is so high that the part becomes deformed.
    • This modern technology is used for the cutting of any conductive metallic material, and more especially in structural steel, stainless and non-ferrous metals.
    • Plasma cutting can be a complementary process for unique works, such as the production of small series, the achievement of tight tolerances or the improvement of finishes.
    • There is also a low thermal impact of the material due to the high energy concentration of the plasma-arc. The beginning of the cut is practically instantaneous and produces a minimum deformation of the piece.
    • This process allows machining at high cutting speeds and produces less downtime. It will enable cutting thicknesses of 0.5 to 160 millimeters, with plasma units of up to 1000 amps.
    • So, the Plasma cutting machine (เครื่อง ตัด พ ลา ส ม่า which is the term in thai) also enables structural steel machining with the possibility of chamfering up to 30 millimeters.

    Features

    One of the most important features is that you get high-quality cuts and a perfect finish.

    When the trigger is pressed, air flows out at 4 atm through the nozzle. Of pressure, and the electrical circuit is closed on the metal to be cut. In this way, the high intensity that stops the point of contact between the tungsten electrode and the metal to be cut produces the fusion of the latter, and at the same time, the pressure air expels the metal outwards, creating a cut very cleanly.
